Canon Character Rules

Alright, so you're interested in claiming one of the many Canon Characters that the Pokemon world has to offer? Well you have come to the right place, this will contain all the information you need when applying for and creating your canon.

First off, A few requirements.

1. You need at least 20 posts before applying for a Canon.

2. You are expected to post on a regular basis with your Canon.

Alrighty, now that those are out of the way, here are a few quick rules of how the Canons' Pokemon work. This is very important especially if you are a Gym Leader or Elite 4.

1. You must use Pokemon of the Gym Leader's type, only the occasional Pokemon may be used outside the trainer's type.
2. If you intend on accepting Gym Battles you must use the provided team outlined in the Gym of your trainer, NO EXCEPTIONS.
3. With that in mind you can train your Pokemon further, catch new ones or train new moves for use outside of the official Gym battles.

When you place a claim on a Canon, you have one week to have the application up and finished before the claim will be opened again for another person to reserve. Currently the rules allow only one Canon character per person. However, if you show us you're a good RP'er, and are planning on sticking around, we may let you have another Canon- but the right to grant someone a second Canon is the Head Admin's and the Head Admin alone.

When writing the bio for your Canon, you need to stay as true to the personality of the character as possible and create a history that outlines their younger life. If there is a story outlined in the Game, Manga or Anime we ask that you use that as a central point for the character's history.
