So you're finally ready to take on the Pokemon World. Well, there are two roads you can take:
1. Your trainer does not have to be a newbie, and may have one ML-W pokemon. - In total, you may start with just one pokemon of ML-W if you don't want to start fresh. A ML-W would be a pokemon at about lvls 31-40. See the Leveling System for more info.
OR
2. You may start as a new trainer, which is encouraged. - Your character must then visit the pokemon research labs throughout the six regions available here to recieve their first pokemon and items. And no, there is no going over this rule if you're starting out fresh. You must roleplay with one of the professors to reiceve a pokemon.
