Personality: Callen is a very practical person, surrounding himself with only things that he deems essential, whether for survival or simply for entertainment value. Anything or one that cannot serve some sort of purpose for him, he often regards with either confusion or annoyance. That said, he's a social chameleon by nature, able to adjust his facade to fit in with many different kinds of people. Those who receive warm greetings should beware what nefarious plan undoubtedly waits just below the surface...
When it comes to Pokemon, Callen holds them to be much better than humans, and will spend as much time as he can around them rather than deal with other people. A lifetime of practice has let him develop great Pokemon handling skills; even those that would be deemed 'dangerous' by others are just as likely to be befriended by Callen.
Though slow to true anger, he is incredibly difficult to calm down once set off. The safest bet is to give him plenty of space and wait for him to work through it on his own. If driven to a fist fight, Callen fights like a wild beast, seemingly with very little regard for his own wellbeing- this is especially obvious if he's fighting in defence of something or someone important to him.
Likes Being alone, exploring, playing with Pokemon, peace and quiet, (occasionally) the thrill of battle
Dislikes Towns/cities, Trainers, humans in general, do-gooders, evildoers

Callan and his Grexzard grew up together, becoming friends despite all the warnings he'd been given about the creature. Although Callan has never caught the Grexzard in a ball to make his 'ownership' official, they are still as close as Trainer and Pokemon; utterly loyal to one another. Callan sees the Grexzard as his friend and equal, not as a Pokemon that he can command.
