Appearance: Ulisis isn’t one of the healthiest looking people alive, his pale skin mixed with the large bags under his eyes from the insomnia often result in people avoiding him simply because he looks somewhat of an oddity. He often wears baggy clothing because he doesn’t care for his presentation as much as other people might. He despises tight fitting clothing and always prefers his worn loose clothing because he finds it more comfortable.

Among other things on his person the only other notable thing he wears around his neck is a carved Blastoise, made from the tooth of a Sharpeedo that his deceased mother had found on her travels and crafted into a present for him. He always wears it and is never found without it in memory of his deceased mother.

Personality: Ulisis is quite a quiet and thoughtful person, not many words pass from behind his lips. Much less in comparison to the amount of thoughts he may have on a particular subject. When he does speak it is often the result of significant times of thought when the subject is quite serious. When it comes to idle chatter he knows basic responses but as he is not particularly well versed in the ways of the world his Social Skills are quite lacking in comparison to other people.

He has a kind heart and will never go out of his way to hurt someone, He tries his best to help those he sees in need but often ends up failing. His insomnia forces him to stay up all night in deep thought as sleep continues to elude him; he is used to a lack of sleep and has found other ways to fill his idle time instead of forcing his eyes to close. He cares for his Pokemon and treats each of them equally, never placing one above the other.

He is not an angry person, very little forces him to become angry but if you manage to light the match he will treat you very coldly and will take the most logical train of thought when trying to outdo the person who angered him. He avoids letting his emotions change his judgement wherever possible but this may not always be the case as even the emotions get the better of the hardiest person.

History:
Ulisis was born into a family that had quite a successfully financial background. He was spoilt as a child, showered with presents from his parents but they sheltered him from the world. Yet only a few short years passed in this manner and when he was five, his mother decided to go travel the world through the regions as a Pokémon Trainer, leaving Ulisis in the care of his father. Ulisis quickly became envious of his mother who had the freedom to choose wherever she went while he was stuck at home with his father.

A year or two passed in this manner where Ulisis contemplated his boredom with his born insomnia. Never being able to find something that could fully occupy his time for an extended period of time, always looking for the next thing to do that would interest him. When one fateful day a messenger arrived with solemn news, his Mother had been found dead in Mt. Moon, she had been killed in a tunnel collapse in one of the caves. She was on her way back home and had died on the last stretch, all that was found where a few belongings and a Blastoise charm carved from a Sharpeedo Tooth that was gifted to Ulisis.

This is when things changed, his Father refused Ulisis to spend anytime outside and proceeded to home school his child, fearful of what would happen if he let him go into the world. Five painful years passed like this where Ulisis didn’t know what to do but succumb to his protective Father before he finally made the decision to run from home and follow his mother’s footsteps and become a Pokemon trainer.
